Jam Prep and string critique

Songs I want to play (easy chord progressin, yet still fun to play)
Sweet Jane - Lou Reed
All Along the Watchtower - Jimmy Hendrix
Rock & Roll - Velvet Underground

Strings
I have finally killed the Fender Pure Nickel Wounds and am putting the Gibson Brite Wires on tonight. Hopefully I wil have them all perfect for the Sunday Jam.

The Fenders were fine, I have to give them an A+ for durability I played the shit out of them and they are holding tune just fine (many of you will insist that since I play with such light sissy picks there is no way I could wear out a set of string in my life time, and to you I say BITE ME!!). I thought the tone of the Fender strings was unimpressive, they seemed a little flat to me so a C for tone. Action was fine (if strings have anything to do with that??).

I will let you know how the Gibson strings work out.

12:12 PM  F!! Gibson Strings suck! I broke the high E. Actually what happened was that I left the tail to short and it slipped on the tuner, when I tried to repair/restring it it weakened the string so that as I was tuning it up it snapped. Nearly took my eye out. Wear your safety goggles guitarists!

I'm thinking "jam preparation" should focus more on snack and beverage selection and preparation.

Oh wait, never mind. I'm not coming. Too bad for you. I took baritone sax at UO. I could probably light the place on fire with my bass line. I'll have to look for Velvet Underground bari sax sheet music. (not!)

Hey this blog is not about guitar universe. Silly internet bringing me here :-) Funny I have been doing hours of research on guitar universe and it brought me to your blog on Jam Prep and string critique. The web plays funny games sometimes. Anyways, I was reading your blog Juniorrocker and I think it is really cool. Keep up the great work.
If you do not mind I may snag your blog and put it in my favorites. I read a ton of stuff that interested me. Keep blogging away :-)

Well this blog certainly is not about takamine guitar. What the heck! I guess the internet can play some tricks on us sometimes. I have been on-line for two hours
researching takamine guitar and came tumbling across your blog. I LOVE IT! I needed a break from takamine guitar anyways :-) If you don't mind I want to add your
blog to my favorites list so I can come back later on and read some more stuff. Well I guess I should get back to researching takamine guitar.
Even though my search is not on Jam Prep and string critique I am glad I came across your blog. Keep blogging away!
